Description

Hi,
Maybe your problem with the blue is that the skin of the woman looks like she's in an environment with warm orange light, but of course her skin would look more pale and purple/pink in a predominatly blue environment. So maybe it makes you feel the colours don't fit.
You can try to adjust the colours in photoshop to see if you then like it more with the blue colour.
Anyways, nice work! :)

wow this version is really cool!
i think the blue background of the book cover does not fit to the orange body, coz it doesnt have these brushstrokes! now it looks as if she was just pasted in

whatever

yes the orange is essential for this pic, cause it lives from the warmth.

her breast muscle is too high-doesnt connect with the actual breast.
i love the hair and face detail.

you taiwanese people got a style you see at once ;)

I actually don't mind the blue version. I like the orange as well. Anyways, great job.

Very nice painting, I prefer the orange version too. My only crit is that her left breast seems off, due to the line of the pectoral muscle. Everything else is great! +10

When i compare this to the blue version i have to say that the figure pops out at the blue background better.
BUT the blue is a bit too dark.
I'd suggest: lighten it up a bit and the cover will be perfect :)

PS: You have such beautiful artworks. Why are all links in your GFX gallery broken? :(

Thanks all for the comments! I hope the editor can see these...although I can't change anything especially their minds. :(

To Azurelle & Hagarun,
I've fixed those broken links, I think they're no problem now. :)

the sword design is amazing! good use of colours, the only thing IMO that doesnt work good is her proportions! never the less a good painting! keep up

Awesome job on the figure and sword. Not too keen on the composition though. I actually like the blue version better. I think it separates the figure from the background better. Especially for a book over.

Thanks again! Actually I totally agree the point that the blue colour did a great job on the separation, but the taste is a bit too strong for me. I think it just ruined the harmony.
Btw, about the proportions...because she need to be strong, therefore she need to be manly...lol
And about the composition..I just left the right part for the title on purpose so maybe a bit unbalance feels.:)

Finally, a new one from you :p
Very nice work as usual, I think the blue version isn't as good as this one, this one is definately an improvement. Nice work. :)

I think orange is better too, but the blue is not bad. Only the orange highlights are hard to explain there..
I like her muscles. Hard to find such well-built woman around ! And the sword is just fantastic..

I agree, i like her muscles. A real warrior..

She's cool, I like it...;)

Very nice work, allthough the perspective enhances the impression that her head is too small.

This looks good as a book cover, but also as a picture alone. The design is cool, her hair looks very good, and the colours are nice. The anatomy (mostly on the arm) could be a bit better, study the muscles a little more, but you are definetly not far away from it.
Keep it up!

I agree with jawine - I'd give you 8/10 because you didn't match the colour when you chenged bg and because of the odd feeling I'm gettin from her upper body..
I'm fond of the sword details!
And I like her hair.
